Experience
- Undergraduate research assistant — EMPE Lab, Texas A&M Feb 2026 — present Altium design and Code Composer Studio hardware test for the ECEN 442 DSP motor-control teaching bench, used by 70+ students a semester. LCR characterization on an EV stator and a Nissan EESM, plus a drive-module teardown. Sampled FEM flux maps in Python and MATLAB and compared surrogate models against them.
- Electrical engineer — TAMU SOMTECH Aug 2026 — present MIRAGE, University Rover Challenge. Previously robotic-arm mechanical designer (Sep 2025 – Aug 2026): third joint of a 6-DOF arm in SOLIDWORKS, a non-invasive clamp holding 5 kg at 1 m reach under 50 N·m, URDF for Gazebo. Slip-ring project lead (Feb – May 2026): a 48 W bench at about half the cost of COTS.
- Hardware test engineer — Aggies Create Jan — Jun 2026 STM32 PCB validation; I2C and SPI bring-up between sensor ICs and MCU.
- Combat robotics electrical engineer — Aggie Robotics Sep 2025 — Mar 2026 Captured SPI traffic to diagnose a failing nRF24L01 radio link and replaced it with ESP-NOW. LT8609S buck converters in LTSpice, custom KiCad boards.
- CNTR electrical lead — TURTLE Robotics Sep 2025 — Jan 2026 Electrical architecture for a VR-controlled modular humanoid: power budget and LiFePO4 integration, ESP32 arm firmware. Prototype shown to 200+ attendees.
- Hardware test engineer intern — SVTronics, Plano Jun – Aug 2024; Jun – Aug 2025 Two summers. Production-tested 1,000+ PCBAs with scopes, electronic loads, JTAG and function generators, recovering 95% of failed boards. Brought up 30+ TI evaluation boards, debugging from schematics and datasheets across RF modules, motor drivers and power converters.
- Build team — FTC 14524 Sep 2024 — May 2025 CAD, FDM prints, servo repair. Mentored Sep – Nov 2025.
Selected projects
- 3-phase SiC inverter switching stage Switching-stage and isolated gate-drive PCBs. Compact high-current loops, SolidWorks heatsink, ESP32-S3, Altium PDN analysis.
- TAMUhack OR lighting arm Fingertip-tracked overhead surgical light. My contribution was the 24 V power architecture for three DM556 stepper drivers (3.3 V, 5 V, 6.8 V, 12 V rails), the SCARA assembly in Onshape, and a C++ step-pulse generation library; vision and kinematics by Apoorv Agrawal, Sean Aiuvalasit and Molly Gray. github.com/Apoorv240/TAMU-Hack-2026
- 6-wheel rocker-bogie rover 16:1 wheel-integrated planetary gearbox, ESP32 control, custom prototype board. GD&T held across four prototypes.
- Citadel / Citadel Securities Quant Challenge at TAMU 3rd place, with Vedant Lal and Darshan Senthil Kumar.
